How do you say no?
How do you tell someone that their child is not invited to your wedding when other children are?

It's almost over...
It's kind of weird to think that I'll be getting married about less than 65 days and also sad because I feel as if I planned my whole wedding in one month. Our location has been picked, we confirmed out reception details, the bridesmaids have their dresses, we're going to order tuxes this weekend, I’ve been in communication with some people about flowers, and just bought knickknacks this week: bubbles for our departing, flower baskets, unity candle, etc.
Don't get me wrong, I know there is a ton more to do, but all the "big" and "fun" part of planning my wedding seems to be over. Now we just have to run around and get things like our marriage certificate and Jonny's green card ;).
Again, to make sure everyone knows that I'm more excited to be married to Jon than my wedding day, I am. BUT, that's not to say that I haven't thought about my wedding day FOR EVER, because I have (I'm totally one of those girls even if I don't seem like it). I mean, I'm only doing this once, right? (and I don't say that as an ignorant Christian). I only get to plan my wedding one time and it's sad to think that it's almost over. I guess it will make more sense if you know that I love to plan events. This is just like the ultimate one!
Does this make sense to anyone? (All the girls reading this say "YES" and the guys are wondering what the heck I'm talking about).
On another note, I can't wait to walk down the aisle and see Jonny standing on the other side. You know, he's the first person I could ever see on the other side before? Yeah, I've tested some other people (in my mind), but none passed, not until Mr. Jon Parker!
So I know I'm not the only one who has ever had this fear, but I'm afraid I won't cry and then all of the sudden, that's going to suggest to everyone else that I don't really love Jonny. I know, the pressure us girls put on ourselves. Well I was listening to the song that I want to walk down the aisle to the other day and my eyes teared up. Ha, I hope it happens on May 29th!! :)

Bubbles
Today I took Avery and Kirby to Party World with me to pick up their flower girl baskets, the unity candle, and bubbles for the guests to blow at the end of our reception.
I need your advice about the bubbles... I would love to have a picture of Jonny and I coming out the chapel into a tunnel of people blowing bubbles- but how does that happen if Jonny and I are the first two people that come out? There is a side room in the chapel that we could go into rather than out of the building, but then what? Get all of our guest outside to blow bubbles just for a picture? Haha. That would be funny.

- Maybe we could just have the wedding party blow the bubbles and reenact coming out to the chapel?

Going to the Chapel of Love
WE'RE ENGAGED!!
When did it happen? Jonny proposed on February 25 at Del Mar Beach. When are we getting married? We're getting hitched on May 29th of this year and the wedding planning is coming along nice and smoothly... Not too many glitches, which is great.
What am I really looking forward to? Wearing my wedding dress!
I've been looking at billions of different hair styles, but I think I have a consistant theme for the type of style I like.

I just placed my first bid on eBay for a beautiful ivory flower for my hair.
Lets hope that 1) I get it and 2) that it is actually pretty...
I picked out my bridesmaid dresses a couple weeks ago and I'm happy with them. Itried to copy a picture ofthem to post, but I can't copy the image. If you're interested, look at David's Bridal, style number 8585 (Black).
Stay tuned for more details as they come.

The Naples Nest
I came out to Florida about a week ago to be welcomed by Jonny and his family. This is the first time I've ever met them in person, and so far so good. They seem to like me and I really like them. We wake up at 8am every day and do some jobs around the house and then head out to the beach. I am going to come home with my nice and new bronze tan! Don't hate me for it, I've had a few nights of hard sleep because my skin is so burnt. Umm, ya from now on I will be using sunscreen :)
There are billions of precious heads in Naples. Some would say it's my idea of heaven.
Jonny's family is great - 6 boys seemed like a lot at first, but spending the last week with them, this trip would have not been the same if one of them were not here.
Merry Christmas family and friends. I send my love from the sunny Naples Nest!! (Thanks Luke for the name).

Monday before Thanksgiving
Today I did not want to come into work. My sister Jackie has the entire week off because of Thanksgiving (she's a teacher). I came in anyways, and now as the day is wrapping up - I'm glad I did. We have a big service this coming weekend as we start a new series for Christmas. The staff has decided to raise money to build a well in Africa. The goal is $12,000 but every $10 saves a child's life. I think we can do it. We'll reveal our plans to the church body this coming weekend.
In order for this weekend to go well, there are tons of logistics that need to be done. Both Robby (children's pastor) and Bucky (lead pastor) are out of town, so I feel like there is a lot to do without them. Reality is I would have just as much to do with them here. I guess I'm seeing how much no one on our staff makes a decision by themselves, but we check everything with each other. It's a great value to have, but hard to get things done quickly.
Anyways, after printing 300 pages of one flyer (2 per page, double sided of course) I printed 100 more of another (2 per page, single sided), another 100 (full page, single sided, not cutting needed!!!) and lastly, 100 envelopes with our logo on it. TONS of printing today which means TONS of cutting tomorrow. That is probably the WORST part of my job.
I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and there is an Office Max next to the building I'm going to. Maybe I'll drop everything off and pay them to cut all of my flyers? That's sounding like a good idea right now.
Okay, a little of my OCD- I hate cutting papers myself because it's boring as heck, but it's almost as bad for me to give the papers to someone else, because they don't take the time to cut everything perfectly! We'll see what I end up doing.
I can't wait for this weekend to be over because that implies all the little tasks will be completed. I am looking forward to seeing how the church responds to the staff's idea for Christmas though. Hopefully everyone will participate.
Anyways, I best be going. I am so hungry right now and I still have a ton of work to complete. Wish me luck. Well, something other than luck I guess seeing how I don't believe in it ;)...

Today's Thoughts
Since I have 2 friends who told me I need to update my blog, this is for you Stacey and Jon. Today I woke up around 7:45am. It was really hard to get out of bed because I had just worked out last night and my body was sore. I did manage to get out of bed, however, and then I took a short shower.
On my way to work today, I went to Deb's house to discuss some website layouts for the church website. I think it was a very productive time.
I drove to the office, got a ton of work done before Bucky got in, and even had some time to sit and chat with Robby.
Once Bucky got into the office, I had to ask him some last minute questions before I could send out some final emails on communication pieces for the church (website and water bottle labels), but I finished it all just in time.
I couldn't be late to picking Kirby up today because we had plans to get Baskin Robins after school in honor of her 10th birthday! I watched this tiny little girl devour 2 scoops of coffee ice cream. I was very impressed.
Now I'm at the Black's house. Kirby is doing homework, and Avery should be home soon. I have guide group tonight, maybe going to the gym again (?), but really need to buckle down and clean my room before Friday.
Thanksgiving is almost here, which will be so much fun because I have a lot of family coming over... and Jonny will finally get to meet Nene and Papa!
That's all for today. At least I think...
